Three Shows off Komodo Island Wonders of the World

Maybe we've often heard stories about the island of Komodo. Moreover, last year the island located in the  East Nusa Tenggara islands it had entered into a nominated 7 Wonders of the World.

But what the hell is actually inside the Komodo Island? So much interesting anyway? Look at the following three interesting things, and you definitely want to go straight there.

 

Pink Beach

If we usually play on the sandy beach brown or white, this time we will find a beach with pink sand! There are only 7 pieces of pink sandy beaches in the world, one of them on the island of Komodo. This pink sand mixed blessing white and red sand. The red color comes from his own supposedly destroyed red coral fragments. Clearly, this beach is very clean and beautiful!

Komodo National Park

Here we can see 277 species of animals which is a mix of animals from Asia and Australia. In addition, for us who like snorkeling, here is also a paradise for fish and coral reefs. There are at least 253 species of reef-building corals, 70 species of sponge, and 1,000 species of fish. That's where life dugong, sharks, 14 species of whales, dolphins, and turtles.

Ancient Animal aka Komodo Varanus komodoensis

Giant lizards which includes ancient animal was first discovered in 1910 by Peter Ouwens, director of the Zoological Museum of Bogor. In addition, currently dragons can only be found in Indonesia. On the island there are about 2,500 Komodo dragons tail included in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
